Coming home late at night after work can be a dilemma, but not a disaster until you figure out that there is no food to eat. For those who are not so keen on getting fast food or junk food delivered and eating oil, easy dinner recipes are a lifesaver. So for the days you are craving some quick pasta, here are some recipes for you to try out and most of these ingredients are usually found at the house if you cook regularly.
Spaghetti with the greens
When you want some spaghetti with a healthy bit of greens involved in it, this recipe with broccoli is the best. You just need spaghetti as much as you want (half a packet if you are hungry), one super-sized head of broccoli, olive oil (two or three tablespoons), salt for tasting, shredded chicken or your preferred meat (chicken tastes the best with spaghetti), black pepper and red pepper flakes for taste. Cook the spaghetti as per instructions given or your own personal recipe and put it for draining. During that time prepare the other ingredients. Get the broccoli and cut it into thin slices and small floret pieces, then heat the olive oil and add all the ingredients (except the red pepper) and cook slightly until browned. Then add this into the pasta with ½ cup water and cook for about 3 minutes. Then add the red pepper, toss till it coats well and serve with a tiny bit of olive oil (like how they serve in rooftop restaurant Bangkok and places).
Hot tomato pasta
Tomato pasta is a fan favorite for most people (excluding the tomato haters) and can be made very easily as well. Grab some fettuccine as much as you want, olive oil, one red onion, some garlic, sausages (grab the brand from your favorite Italian restaurant), cherry tomatoes, wine vinegar (or regular), salt and pepper, torn basil leaves and arugula, some ground parmesan. Get the fettuccine done first and leave for draining. Then heat the oil and caramelize the onions. Add the sausages and fry till brown before adding the tomatoes and cooking till the skins burst a bit. Put the vinegar, salt and pepper and stir around for a minute or so. Then add this into the drained fettuccine along with the arugula, basil and toss for coating. Serve the pasta with the parmesan as a topper. You can always experiment with the pasta recipes and change the types of Italian restaurant sukhumvit you add. For the easy recipes the hard part is getting it done quickly enough.
